A
CHRISTMAS
KISS
We
Walked
Holding hands
Into the old square.
Around it we sauntered,
Would we REALLY dare?
We smiled secretly through,
The icy-clear breath-filled air.
A fine Christmas tree in the corner,
Starrily, festively, mystery encompasses,
Wrapped up in hopes, as tall as the houses,
Covered in bright fairy lights and imaginary roses.
But all I could see were
Your translucent
Green eyes,
An aquiline nose and
Red tangled lips.
Yes, reader, we enjoyed our first Christmas kiss.
